Redes. – El artista finlandés Juho Könkkölä, experto en origami, se propuso diseñar un vikingo armado muy realista utilizando una sola hoja cuadrada de 95 cm de papel de arroz Wenzhou. Para ello, no dudó en documentarse todo lo que pudo sobre los vikingos y su historia a través de películas, libros y exposiciones en museos.
En cuanto a la producción del papel, comenzó manipulando la hoja para hacerla más maleable realizando varios pliegues previamente. Luego se embarcó en los diferentes plegados sin cortes ni desgarros, antes de continuar con la construcción del personaje y el modelado de todos los pequeños detalles como su espada, su escudo o su armadura.
Como es habitual, compartió esta auténtica proeza en un time-lapse tan cautivador como el anterior donde expone las diferentes etapas de diseño que le habrán requerido nada menos que 10.000 pliegues y 209 horas de arduo trabajo.
El creativo no está en su primer intento, pero aun así logra asombrarnos con cada una de sus creaciones. No duda en redoblar esfuerzos para ofrecer origami cada vez más complejos con detalles increíblemente realistas.
