Redes. – Elon Musk, propietario de Tesla, anunció durante el Día del Inversionista de la automotriz que la próxima fábrica de la firma será instalada en México.
Durante su intervención en el evento, el multimillonario anunció que la armadora estará cerca de Monterrey, Nuevo León, con lo que confirmó el anuncio hecho el martes por el presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
Ese día, el mandatario dijo que Tesla edificaría la instalación en Nuevo León, con una inversión que podría superar los cinco mil millones de dólares.
El anuncio de este miércoles también fue hecho a través de la cuenta de Twitter de Tesla, donde incluso se publicó la imagen de cómo será la fábrica.
Máximo Vedoya, quien asumirá este viernes como presidente de la Cámara de la Industria de Transformación de Nuevo León (Caintra), dio la bienvenida a la firma automotriz a esa entidad federativa.
La instalación de la gigafábrica de Tesla en México es buena noticia por la generación de empleo, la consolidación y desarrollo de proveedores, así como el nivel de confianza que aporta para la toma de decisiones de otros actores de la industria automotriz para invertir en México, dijo Guillermo Rosales Zárate, presidente ejecutivo de la Asociación Mexicana de Distribuidores de Automotores (AMDA).
México, dijo, se encuentra ante una posibilidad muy importante que se deriva de por lo menos tres factores como lo son el cumplimiento de las nuevas reglas de origen del T-MEC, la relocalización de cadenas de producción extranjeras de algunos suministros para el armado de automotores nuevos en América del Norte y el impacto de los incentivos que ofrecerá Estados Unidos a la adquisición de vehículos eléctricos.
